"The devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist."
― Charles Baudelaire, Paris Spleen
Let us begin with the truth in mind.
The United States is an energy-independent nation. The Institute for Energy Research says, "U.S. energy production in 2019 was higher than U.S. energy consumption for the first time in 62 years. Thus, the U.S. attained the long-held goal of “energy independence”—which is not to say that we did not import or export energy, but that we produced more energy than we used." Yes, Republican President Donald John Trump, America's 45th President, allowed his Nation to achieve something undone since 1957 when Dwight D. Eisenhower served as the 34th President of the United States. The Investor's Business Daily (IBD) opined on what made Trump more different than any other President: "It just requires government to get out of the way so that oil companies can get at the vast supplies of good old oil and gas right under U.S. soil." Simply put, he allowed private industry to explore without the burdens of excessive governmental regulations which created surpluses leading to higher waged jobs and lower prices overall. IBD strengthens this assessment by saying, "Trump doesn't deserve the credit for this boom. Oil companies do. But unlike his predecessors, Trump understands that energy independence doesn't require yet another "energy plan" that tells people to wear more sweaters in the winter and wastes money on "new" energy sources."
In the Spirit of One of America's Best Made Films, Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles, America must say to Guyana, "Oil? We Don't Need Your Stinkin' Oil!"
Many Guyanese people are so deceived by their Marxist conditionings and false propaganda media that they believe the United States is trying to steal their oil like Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. and the Democrat-Marxists stole the 2020 US Presidential Election. Guyana is a cooperative republic as having the following attributes: political and economic independence, state ownership of the means of production, a citizenry organized into groups such as cooperatives and trade unions, and an economy run on the basis of national economic planning. It has transitioned from capitalism to socialism. Literally, taking profit and productivity out of the hands of the people as individual sovereigns and into the hands of a corrupt few. The President has an unlimited rule, which is why many covet the control of elections through unscrupulous party political means.
While in the US, the Democrat-Marxists want Americans to "reimagine" a country where Big Government, Big Tech, and Big Corporations form a fascist control block over the entire economy, we can see the result of state control over a people and an economy upon observing Guyana. This transition from capitalism to socialism must have resulted in the wealth creation of many individuals. Right? In 2017, 41% of the population of Guyana lived below the poverty line. In comparison, the official American poverty rate is 10.5 percent, based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2019 estimates. With an estimated population of 786,391, the only English speaking Latin American nation is home to over 322,400 Guyanese below the poverty line. Guyana is one of South America’s poorest countries, with an average per capita annual income of around US$4,000. Guyana, a nation with the twelfth-largest oil reserves in the world, has a tremendous poverty problem brought on by Marxism and not capitalism.
According to The National Business, "Unlike the US’ mostly very light shale oil, Guyana’s is a medium-light crude closer to major Middle East grades. Likely to be rich in diesel when refined, it helps fill a hole in the world’s crude diet." Unfortunately, the Marxist nation that owns the means of production for every one of its citizens lacks the ability to control every step of oil production. It is dependent on its capitalist, free-trade partners to extract the oil, refine the oil, and sell the oil. An oil refinery is an industrial plant that transforms or refines crude oil into various usable petroleum products such as diesel, gasoline, and heating oils. Oil refineries essentially serve as the second stage in the crude oil production process. Why not a refinery to control the production process? Guyana believes that it is not in their best interest.
“We have never said that there will never be a refinery. At this time a refinery is not feasible… I think what most people are conflating is not if a refinery should come to shore, it’s whether or not we should have cheap fuel. A refinery doesn’t mean cheap fuel or the absence of a refinery doesn’t mean that you will not have cheap fuel, cheap fuel is a policy decision and there are many ways by which you can ultimately have cheap fuel… I cannot advise my Minister to pursue an investment down a rabbit hole. What the Department is concerned about is what we call ‘no-regrets investment’. When you invest today, you must not regret tomorrow… it must be monies that are well spent,” Dr. Mark Bynoe, Director, Guyana's Department of Energy told a gathering in September 2019.
The possibility of Guyana having petroleum stemmed from observations of petroliferous occurrences recorded by Dutch explorers since the 1750s, but it was not until 1916 that the first significant effort to locate petroleum was undertaken. Almost three hundred years of oil exploration and not one oil refinery. The Marxist Guyanese believe that they can depend on the Chinese or Russians because they are comrades. China has little oil but a refinery. What do you think their Belt and Road Initiative is for Guyana? Let's just say dependency is the only option.
Since ExxonMobil and partners, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and Hess, began production offshore in December 2019, Guyana has received US$185,338,324.42 in revenue directly from its oil share sales, which is held in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York under Guyana's Sovereign Wealth Fund account. The expectation is that soon they will extract 120,000 barrels of oil a day. Reimagine that money invested in the individual sovereigns and small businesses of Guyana. Reimagine that the Cooperative Republic had set aside its oil share sales to be posited into the hands of the poor directly. I mean it's a socialist nation where the State owns all of the resources. According to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Bernie Sanders, it should be as easy to redistribute wealth as getting foreign nations like Italy to interfere in the US Presidential Elections. Let us consider a hypothetical. One-third of the oil share sales would be US$61,779,441.47. If we were to divide that sum by an impoverished population of 322,400 then, each of the Guyanese poor would receive $191.62. If the whole amount of the oil share sales were redistributed to each of the Guyanese poor then, each would have received $574.87. Remember, Americans were brutally angry that Speaker Nancy Pelosi delayed consideration of a $600 per person stimulus payment. A sum that is merely enough to buy groceries for a month and pay a couple of utility bills during the COVID 19 pandemic. Imagine, for a poor Guyanese, how an annual oil dividend of $191.62 or 4.79% of annual wages would aid in overcoming poverty? Imagine how an annual windfall of $574.87 or 14.4% of annual wages may alleviate the spoils of poverty in a land beset by corruption and despotism so great that over a half of the Guyanese population live in the United States and Canada. An industrious and brilliant people seeking homage in a capitalist nation like the US hoping to build wealth and secure comfort worthy of their desires while their brethren are spoiled with individual hardship and economic abuse by the good-intentions of Marxism.
President Trump put America First and watched over the Nation becoming energy independent. He moved the bureaucrats of Washington, DC out of the way so that the American people would prosper. He encouraged private ownership of every stage of oil production: extraction, refining, and distribution. He encouraged private exploration on lands owned by the federal government. By any means necessary, the world would see the power and innovation of America as it pursued freedom from the threats both foreign and domestic. He so wanted people in more politically and economically to make their countries first. For this, the world despised him. The Marxist Guyanese vehemently criticized President Trump to be a divider, a racist, and a provoker of poor nations. The Marxists proclaimed, "American needs an uniter like Joe Biden for President and someone that will look out for social and racial justice like formerly Indian, now Black, woman, Kamala Harris, as Vice-President".
Well, the 2020 US Presidential Election was stolen just for you. Soon, you may regret it.
You are depending on your oil fields to lift you out of poverty. Biden and Harris are preparing to bind you in the chains of poverty. You may look forward to three initiatives that the US Marxists will employ that will globally impact you and your pursuit of wealth and independence. The three are economic catastrophes: COVID-19 Lockdowns; Raising taxes on the American people while increasing economic stimulus; and introducing the world to a Green New Deal.
The Hill reported after the November Election that America is headed to more lockdowns, mandatory masks, and more infringements on liberties and freedoms. Biden’s COVID-19 advisory board wrote in an opinion piece, “To be effective, the lockdown has to be as comprehensive and strict as possible.” The Exceptional Conservative Show® Guest Michael Betrus, a coronavirus researcher author of COVID-19: Lockdowns on Trial; made it abundantly clear that "lockdowns" are dangerous prescriptions for cultural demise and economic hardships. Betrus writes, "To justify lockdowns as an effective mitigation tactic, those states and countries locking down must well outperform those that did not. See how that did not happen anywhere." Guyana can admit that lockdowns prevented it from achieving the coveted goal of 120,000 barrels a day. If the American economy slows then, the world economy screeches to a halt. What happens? Oil prices fall as there is no longer a need for major construction projects and employment falls around the world. When the office is closed by the government then, there is no longer a need to drive to work. It sucks to have oil when you can't sell it. By the way, what is one of Guyana's major imports to the energy-independent US? Petroleum. Guyana loses twice over.
But, wait a minute Marxists, we are not done yet! Let's look behind the Biden-Harris Box 2.
The Biden US Economy during the COVID-19 recession has one ingredient: Raising taxes on the American people while increasing economic stimulus. According to Forbes, Biden-Harris not only plan to Repeal the Trump Tax Cuts of 2017, but they also plan to raise corporate taxes. Milton Ezrati writes, "On corporate taxes, Biden would make three changes. First, he would raise the statutory rate from 21% at present to 28%. Second, he would add a 15 percent minimum tax for corporations that have over $100 million in profits, if, because of deductions, they would otherwise pay less. It would work much like the alternative minimum tax in the individual code. Third, he would double from 10.5% at present to 21% the tax charged on foreign income from licensing and fees on intellectual properties. He plans to write the law so that the government could impose the tax selectively on a country-by-country basis." Do you raise taxes on peoples and small companies during a recession? Former President Barack Obama once said, "You don't raise taxes in a recession. We haven't raised taxes in a recession... we have not proposed a tax hike for the wealthy that would take effect in the middle of a recession...The last thing you want to do is to raise taxes in the middle of a recession." Yeah, that was Marxist Obama saying don't do it. Raising taxes slows consumer spending, reduces corporate interest in hiring and innovating products, and reduces tax revenue for federal, state, and local governments. It's a kill all of the economy technique but what's stop the Leninist from pursuing his attack on capitalism. Let's put it this way, a slowed US economy means a reduction in private monies leaving the Nation for the shores of Guyana. This leaves you with a greater dependence on the financial kindness of the European Union, Russia, China, and Iran. Nothing says independence like a reliance on tyrannical nations with separate agendas for slicing up your country's resources.
The Tax and Spend Biden-Harris Plan is not just finished. You must roundly destroy the Trump capitalist economy. You must use the COVID-19 crisis as an excuse to spend more than you have. Call it an essential stimulus. J. T. Young writes, "Even a massive stimulus will buy Biden only a little time in which to achieve results. America may have a unique fiscal reality, allowing it to assume more debt than most, but it does not have immunity. There will be public and political resistance to piling on more debt indefinitely — especially if it is viewed as compensating for private sector activity." Simply, there is a tremendous thin line between debt and reality. Forbes Jonathan Ponciano writes, "Unprecedented government spending has helped ward off a grave economic depression in nations around the world, but the debt load governments like the U.S. are taking on to fund such stimulus measures could stall economic growth for years to come, the World Bank warned Tuesday, echoing concerns among experts worried inflation could trigger another recession." Yes, there is a terrible day of economic reckoning when Wall Street Keynesians marry the policies of destabilizing Marxists. So Guyana, what does it mean when you reject the capitalist President Trump and favor the Marxist Joe Biden? You crush your own economy.
According to Forbes, "Developed countries like the United States have headed up stimulus spending this year, though emerging and developing markets like Chad, Zambia and Ecuador are among the hardest-hit and most in need of help, the World Bank adds. Such nations are already on the verge of defaulting on their debt, World Bank President David Malpass says, which could in turn spur humanitarian crises like those facing Venezuela, where food and energy shortages have plagued the debt-burdened nation for years." Yes, tiny Third World nations like Guyana will suffer as fewer crumbs are available from the First World Economic Table.
By the way, Guyana, compare President Trump and Joe Biden on Venezuela, since the World Bank considers it more important. The Trump administration indicted Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro on drug trafficking and money laundering charges. The Trump administration government took a bold stance when it declared that it was no longer recognizing Nicolas Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela, giving recognition to Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido. On Venezuela, Biden called Trump's policy toward the South American country “an abject failure” and said, “Maduro has gotten stronger.” NBC News' Carmen Sesin writes, "According Biden did not outline any specific policy towards Venezuela, but in response to questions on Latin America by Americas Quarterly in March, he said the U.S. “should not be in the business of regime change” and “the overriding goal in Venezuela must be to press for a democratic outcome through free and fair elections.” Biden is concerned by free and fair elections when he and the Marxists have stolen the 2020 US Presidential Election. What do Biden and Maduro have in common? Dominion Voting! Nothing says free and fair like the Biden-Maduro partnership.
Under Trump, in September 2020, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Guyana seeking support for efforts to oust Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and build ties with the booming oil producer. Pompeo and President Irfaan Ali signed agreements to strengthen U.S. investment and cooperation on energy and infrastructure while vowing to deepen cooperation on maritime security and drug trafficking interdiction. Wait a minute, Guyanese Marxist, what US President sent his Secretary of State to your nation before Trump? None! However, your response? We want Biden. Venezuela thanks you! The Human Rights Association of Guyana expressed concern that the nation of 740,000 people could get caught in the middle of the dispute between Venezuela and the U.S. Should have been a clue to you Marxists neophytes. HRC President Alphonso David endorsed Joe Biden for the US Presidency. Empowered by the Election and Certification of Joe Biden As US President, Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro Demands 2/3rd of Guyana's Land and Oil Fields. Guyana's HRA had advised President Ali to blow off Trump's Secretary for fear that “aligning Guyana with those seeking regime change not only threatens Guyana’s legal negotiations over the border, but it would also be politically absurd.” Here's what he meant. We already have the election locked up before the first US Presidential vote and if Guyana sides with Trump then, Biden will allow Venezuela to punish you. Biden will be hands-off and offer only immigration special allowances to the US for those that will be affected. Think about it. Can you imagine sending angry Guyanese Marxists to the United States because Marxist Biden allowed their land to be taken by Maduro? What is 2/3rds of 740,000 people? Yes, it may be time to get the boats ready to send 493,000 people to New York City. No worries, you will be greeted by Communist Mayor Bill "Warren Wilhelm Jr." de Blasio will welcome you.
But, wait a minute Marxists, we are not done yet! Let's look behind the Biden-Harris Box 3.
The Biden-Harris Co-Presidency will spend their time rallying the rest of the world to meet the threat of climate change. Yes, Mr. and Ms. Marxist Guyanese, the Co-Presidency doesn't give a damn that you are an impoverished nation and that you have oil. To them, you are the enemy. You are the reason that there is so much pollution in the air. The Campaign proclaims, "He will fully integrate climate change into our foreign policy and national security strategies, as well as our approach to trade." For Trump, Guyana was a national security threat because it had a tremendous reserve of oil, no military that will protect you, and villains at your border like Maduro and foreign actors that wish to take your Nation apart like warm Plait bread. For Biden, you are a national security threat because you could garner self-sufficiency rather than submit to China's dominance and that your fossil fuels are a threat to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Trump called Guyana, our friend. Biden calls Guyana, our enemy. However, the Marxist Guyanese fill up the social media pages with criticisms of Trump, his family, his faith, and his political policies. Cutting off your nose despite your face.
How do we know that Biden is coming for your oil rigs? CDP, a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts, released a report that condemned ExxonMobil and partners, CNOOCand Hess, were the world's biggest pollution threats. Taking into account its combined scope 1 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, CNOOC has been one of the most climate-damaging public companies. According to the ‘Carbon Majors’ research, it was found that "100 active fossil fuel producers including ExxonMobil, Shell, BHP Billiton, and Gazprom are linked to 71% of industrial greenhouse gas emissions since 1988". Biden & Harris seek the end of fossil fuel extraction, refinement, and distribution. Not just in Pennsylvania, Texas, and the United States but, around the world. Biden-Harris care little about your impoverished background. They soon may watch over 2/3rds of your land going to Maduro.
In closing, Guyana, your love for "Granger", for "Jagan", for the "PNC", for the "PPP", and for all things Marxist have blinded you to the reality of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have been guaranteed work by your State and yet, 41% of your people are impoverished. You have one of the largest oil reserves in the world and yet, President Ali can only imagine 50,000 jobs being created in five years. You have the right to free education but, not the means to develop technologies to manage the great gift of Oil that God gave you to steward. You have the right to free medical care but lack modern firehouses and fire engines after over 50 years of Marxism and government rule of your lives. Now, when it counts most, you choose to support a US President that will work gloriously for your demise rather than the one that sought to protect you from the world. Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises wrote, “The Marxians love of democratic institutions was a stratagem only, a pious fraud for the deception of the masses. Within a socialist community, there is no room left for freedom.” Certainly absent is the freedom to see the eco-political world clearly. Blindness is a virtue of Marxism.
