The Progressive War on The Second Amendment

LGBT Month has not shone kindly upon America’s First Gay President, Barack Hussein Obama.  His Campaign’s Budget for Re-Election is emulating his overall governing style of the federal budget.  The Obama Campaign will fall short of its anticipated goal of $1 Billion in fundraising.  While President Obama has $110 million on hand, his campaign is spending $5.5 million dollars a month more than they raise.  That’s OK because the Boss set the example, through continuing resolutions, by spending $1.2 trillion more than the Treasury collects in tax and fee revenues.  However, the Campaign seems a sugar and spice distraction from the disconcerting happenings of the world around him.  Italy, Spain and Greece have raised a mighty finger towards the Utopian wealth distribution dreams of the President.  As such, Americans have watched their 401-K statements become drenched in the red ink of stock market losses.  The Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has announced that the economy requires more printing of dollars in order to ease the fall of a weak recovery.   The Fed Chairman made this decision based on the Bureau of Labor’sannouncement on the relative strength of Vice-President Joe Biden’s “Summer of Recovery“.  Scott Walker won in Wisconsin and the SEIU lost in the Supreme Court.  Speaking of the SCOTUS, we are moments away from observing whether Obama must schedule an Immigration Apology Tour for Alabama and Arizona.  We are moments away from receiving SCOTUS’ ruling on Obama’s Signature Piece of Legislation: Obama Care.  Beyond all of this, the Blues Brothers–Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder–have decided to double down on reckless by enacting executive privilege on documents requested by Congress in its investigation of a gun smuggling and money laundering project executed by the United States Department of Justice.  We are literally moments away from a determination as to whether Obama’s Term as President can best be described as “The Waste, Fraud and Abuse Act of 2008″.
Today, the forces that push for gun control seem to be heavily (though not exclusively) allied with political factions that are committed to dramatic increases in taxation on the middle class. While it would be hyperbole to compare higher taxes on the middle class to the suffering and deprivation of sharecropping or slavery, the analogy of disarming those whom you wish to economically disadvantage, has a certain worrisome validity to it.
Clayton E. Cramer , The Racist Roots of Gun Control, 1993
While it would be very easy to draw from the living waters of failure and write of any of the subjects above, I believe that a major issue screams out:  THE PROGRESSIVES WAR on theSECOND AMENDMENT.  Before I approach the risks of losing the Second Amendment because of the molested affections of progressive drones,  I must interject my strongest disdain for those willing to trade their Godly inheritance for a supper.   It should be our greatest fear to elect or appoint to any office an individual that subscribes to the philosophies and talking points of the Progressive Movement.  Since the beginnings of this country, there have been those that have pursued death rather than life, oppression rather than liberty and the misery of fairness rather than the pursuit of happiness.  They have cloaked themselves in the lamb’s wool of noble, good intentions towards the needy, the disenfranchised and the conditionally disadvantaged.  However, they wrestle with a wolf’s fur of patient, unceasing desire that allows them to adjust their passions while convincing the weakest among us to exchange their unalienable, Creator endowed rights for the economic assurances of man deigned liberties.  Cramer writes,” Today, the same elitist rhetoric regards law-abiding Americans in the same way, as child-like creatures in need of guidance from the government.  In the last century, while never openly admitted, one of the goals of disarming blacks was to make them more willing to accept various forms of economic oppression, including the sharecropping system, in which free blacks were reduced to an economic state not dramatically superior to the conditions of slavery.”  The Progressives have had as their utter ambition an undeveloped underclass that willfully accepts monetary support from the State in lieu of any real legislative, executive or judicial influence or pursuit of political right through the protections of the US Constitution.
President Franklin Delano Roosevalt was so certain that the US Constitution had failed that he offered a Second Bill of Rights.  President Roosevelt, in his Infamous January 11, 1944 State of the Union address to Congress, informs, “We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence…Necessitous men are not free men…People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.”  The perfect storm, when Esau would finally succumb to Isaac, is what Progressives have sought.  That storm would be composed of a world headed to a seemingly insolvable economic crisis and, due to financial hardships beyond their control, citizens willingly submit their rights for sustenance–food stamps, green jobs and the guarantees of already bankrupt noble institutions like Social Security and Medicare.  There is a price to be paid.  One must sacrifice their ability to defend themselves for the fruit of another man’s labor.  William Barclay said, “Self-defense is a part of the law of nature; nor can it be denied the community, even against the king himself.”  When one is lacking in their Trust of God, it seems far better to place a trust in the material promises of Earth’s princes.
For as long as there have been free men willing to protect their country and their property, there have been those seeking to undue such a Godly deed.  Urban pioneers know this better as the Democrats cultural commitment to gun control.  On December 15, 1791, the thirteen states of the new union ratified the Bill of Rights.  One of the ten critical Rights included the Second Amendment.  It states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  From that period in American History to include the Revolutionary War, the Great Expansion and Settling of the Wild West, the War of 1812, the Civil War and World War I, no federal law was passed to infringe upon the right of US citizens to bear arms.  Then, the perfect storm arrives: The Great Depression.
The masses heard the cries of those that sought to provide “the relief, recovery and reform” that the US Constitution could not offer.  The Progressives proffered a need to rid the world of waste, fraud and abuse that the strict Constitutionalists had no interest in eliminating.  World renown historian William Leuchtenburg wrote, “The Progressives believed in the Hamiltonian concept of positive government, of a national government directing the destinies of the nation at home and abroad. They had little but contempt for the strict construction of the Constitution by conservative judges, who would restrict the power of the national government to act against social evils and to extend the blessings of democracy to less favored lands. The real enemy was particularism, state rights, limited government.”  With the US Constitution deemed a fierce and intolerable enemy, the Progressives cloaked themselves in relief and recovery and began their reform assault.
In FDR’s First 100 Days, he focused on “making banks safer”.  By the way, Obama’s First 100 Days Focus was the banks.  FDR was criticized for not nationalizing the banks.  Obama has a Back-Door Option of Nationalizing: converting preferred shares into common stock.  FDR used his Democrat House and Democrat Senate to pass the first federal gun control legislation: National Firearms Act (NFA).  The crisis: gangsters (or “good people, citizens”) had access to “gangster weapons”–machine guns, short-barreled shotguns and other weapons and the state’s and cities’ armed forces weren’t packing that kinda heat.  Advantage: criminal (who was, is and will always be able to get such weapons without permit or tax).  FDR says lets make certain that good people or citizens are unable to buy such military grade weaponry without a tax.  In 1934, a new gun purchase tax of $200 was levied which was the equivalent of $2,525 per gun in today’s currency.  Obama focused on nationalizing health care.  Err, his mind, heart and soul was also on guns: Fast and Furious.
What better way to eliminate free market, capitalism in the gun industry than to create a crisis of such global proportions that nationalization is the only option?  I give you the D-O-J.  Using a former Bush DOJ program as an outline, President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder crafted a way to nationalize the gun industry, federalize gun control, eliminate the natural self defense rights of citizens and move the United States one step closer to submitting its Sovereignty under the United Nations; all while, without permission of the Mexican government, forcing gun shop owners to disobey federal and state laws by selling guns and ammunition to known inter-country criminals and money laundering for drug cartels.  The unfortunate thing with any noble government program is that it eventually fails due to incompetence or malfeasance.  Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE Agent Jaime Zapata were murdered by individuals using Fast and Furious Guns.  Mexican Officials estimate that over 300 persons have been murdered and 20,000 injured as a result of criminals using Fast and Furious Guns.  The Obama Administration was going for the knock-out blow to the Second Amendment.  FDR, Woodrow Wilson and Lyndon Banes Johnson would have been so proud.  Today, we observe the worst of the Richard M Nixon Administration and Jimmy Carter Administration in a anachronistic, political swan dive on the world stage.
The Democrat Party and Progressives have done much to keep the Black community in a state of defenselessness and our community has done mighty works in order to align itself with the principles of those that seek its demise.  The Progressives have convinced many that a “felon” on the DC City Council better represents “the least, the last and the lost” than someone determined to eliminate the conditions that make them  ”the least, the last and the lost”.  Many a murder would have not been committed in communities where poverty persists if individuals understood, enforced and elected representatives that supported their natural right to defend themselves.  However, for urban lifestylists, that would require a higher commitment to personal responsibility and a loss of dependence on the state for protection.  Union shake-down artists would have no body to depend for exorbitant pensions, salaries and give-backs in lieu of the taxpayers “conspicuous consumption”.  It is amazing what the individual and family can do when the State gets out of the way.  Urban Progressives hope that you never have the chance to experience the liberty and freedom of self-control.  It is just so much easier trusting in the god of gun-control.
