Guard Thy Rights: When Advocates Bend to the Establishment, Citizens Need Be Concerned

"The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretense by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both."

— William Rawle, A View of the Constitution 125-6 (2nd ed. 1829)

There is a constant drumbeat in America.  It is the Left's persistent, almost insatiable, need to control the past, present, and future through its mighty narratives and charming messengers.  Since the last Presidential Election, they have displayed their Resistance by a show of force and by deadly force itself.  They are protected by the Wealth of Wall Street, the Representative Power of the Establishment on Capitol Hill, and the Unrelenting Presentation of Myth and Rhetoric expressed as News.  What worsens this plight is the sincere desire of those that say that they stand with Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and George Mason as vibrant conservatives buckle when the heat of induced public opinion weighs heavily on the optics of the day.  The drummers and fifers of revolution doggedly play in the distance declaring that freedom and liberty are under attack from those that will never settle for gleeful compromise or a share of power.  Shall they disarm the citizenry?  Just as surely as those on the Establishment Right seek to conquest those willing to patriotically honor the Nation.

There are, indeed, Urban American "conservatives" that find great ease in standing for what they deem is conservatism and yet, abhor the optics of standing with those that the Left condemn as "Alt-Right Conservatives".  The Urban "Conservatives", whom I would label wannabes, have spent generations attempting to find common ground and "convince" Leftists to partner in "changing the community".  They can not understand how those "Alt-Right Conservatives" could possibly waste their time boycotting the National Football League (NFL).  How dare you challenge the Leftists and their egalitarian protectors for "protesting the NFL's lack of patriotism"?  The wannabes portend that it is a waste of time to reject the NFL due to its mercenary patriotism.  They contend that we can't win over the Leftists if we protest their right to adhere to the First Amendment.  Number one, President Donald Trump started it and number two, the NFL is "too big to fail".  If you "Alt-Right Conservatives" keep boycotting then, you will miss good football.  You are not making any difference.  At least, not any real difference is being made by you Alt-Right Conservatives and the optics are really bad.

It's amazing that the wannabes never admit that it was the Left that initiated anti-Patriotic protests against the American flag, our military and law enforcement, and our National Anthem.  Even worse, the Left attempted to extort employment for their Che Guevara champion Colin "Take A Knee" Kaepernick by initiating boycotts against the NFL“There will be no football in the state of Georgia if Colin Kaepernick is not on a training camp roster and given an opportunity to pursue his career,” said Gerald Griggs of the Atlanta NAACP branch.  The wannabes persist that the Alt-Right should take no standard for the sake of optics yet, the Left may take as many standards as are necessary to promote their narrative and agenda to overthrow the Nation.  Yes, the Left can reverently boycott America and the NFL  at once but, you gosh darn patriots are messing up opportunities to find a compromise with them.

The wannabes want the "Alt-Right Conservatives" to just understand how tough it is for them to go into the Barber Shop and declare the principles of conservatism. Their argument, "One more week of spreading the Good News of Tax Cuts, Regulation Reform, and Building A Wall and I would have been able to register everyone in the shop for the Republican Party."  What should the "Alt-Right Conservatives" do?  Maybe we can admit that "one hand up and don't point the gun in my general direction" will be an acceptable compromise.  Maybe if we agree to take down every Civil War statue in America that fathers will come home to raise illegitimate children, homicides will cease, and college students will switch their majors from social sciences and communications to science, technology, and math to reduce cultural unemployment.  Maybe if we would just apologize for the systemic racism that exists in this Nation, that was the first to abolish slavery by a War Between the States, and stand arm linked with each other singing kumbayah that they will allow us to stand and peaceably honor the National Anthem and the American Flag.

Yeah, how is that theory working, wannabes?

We allegedly hear from Colin that for the right price of employment that it can be done.  For the US Dollar, he would stand for the flag.  I don't suggest buying any NFL Player's Jersey until the embarrassment for honoring our Nation has been removed from the hearts and souls of the players.

By the way, the results of the "Alt-Right Conservatives" is phenomenal.  According to Breitbart, "A new Rasmussen poll finds that 32 percent of adults surveyed say that they have stopped watching NFL football because of the protests while only a scant 13 percent said they are more likely to tune in because of the anthem protests."  I know wannabes say that is scantly anecdotal.  There could be no real cost to the NFL.  The players are still being paid.  Indeed, todat is today but, it is not tomorrow.  This one thing may impact the NFL Players pay in the 2020-2022 Collective Bargaining Agreement Negotiations: Television Ratings!

The owners will not have to shop at Aldi's or Shoppers Food Warehouse anytime soon.  They are frugally living off a $5 Billion television deal.  However, payback will be a real female dog if ratings continue to fall.  If ratings drop, the television networks will have to reimburse advertisers.  At $535,000 for a 30-second slot on Thursday Night Football, that's a chuck out of the Leftist's Media Treasury that they certainly do not desire to lose.  A few more months and the prideful promoters of Marxism may return to NFL Headquarters and advise that the remaining balance of the TV deal will need to be renegotiated.   The owners will not make this their burden alone.  State and Local governments may find it more difficult to negotiate tax based financing for stadiums.  If capitalist consumers continue to take their kids to soccer games and wives to dinner on Sundays, the Fidel Castro t-shirt wearing players will see that contract negotiations will become tenser.  Veteran Day Weekend Boycotts shall surely make a poetic difference.  Yes, patriots, you have been successful despite the wannabes' chastisements.

Imagine the wannabes' knee-jerk reaction to the mass political savagery in Las Vegas, NV.  O, how dreadful you "Alt-Right Conservatives" truly are.  You suspect a Leftist's conspiracy and profanely promulgate the claims of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).  As a fine, upstanding wannabe, I would not dare even entertain such gossip.  Have we not the time to honor the dead and care for the injured.  We can not by any means sling salacious tinder about those on the Left and their allies.  You guys make the optics look really bad.

It is this commitment to the purity of sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch as agreed to and reported by the Leftists that discounts the validity of query by the Right.  We must not consider any options that are offensive to the Left, for they possess the moral high ground in every mass incident that involves a gun.  The Left takes no moral allegiance to the individual incidents by repeat offenders in gun control cities like Chicago.  Such law offenders find the criminal justice system an appeasement organization that rewards those that live outside the boundaries of the law and curses those that abide faithfully the will of the empowered criminal advocates.  In fact, in such cities, the criminal is hailed as the victim and honored as hero.  Rather than implore the fullest inspection of fact, the wannabes condemn.  It is better to be seen as a uniter than divider in the court of public opinion.  This keeps a wannabe's visit to the "Curvy Couch", no matter how unlikely, certainly a possibility.

How routine is it for the Right to knee-jerk react to the Left?  It is as routine as Lebron James measuring the intelligence quotient of Ohioans.   The knee-jerk reaction by those on the Right to a mass shooting is more than a reasonable expectation.  Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blames the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the mass shooting rather than Stephen Paddock and Senator John Cornyn of Texas trembles:

“I own a lot of guns, and as a hunter and sportsman, I think that’s our right as Americans, but I don’t understand the use of this bump stock.  It seems like it’s an obvious area we ought to explore and see if it’s something Congress needs to act on.”

It is amazing that those with the responsibility of protecting the Second Amendment find it so easy to diminish its Constitutional role in American culture.  The Second Amendment is not about the rights of Bubba and Jimmy Joe to go hunting in the Ozarks one Saturday morning.  The Second Amendment is not about the rights of Marty Hayes or Massad Ayoob to participate in the National Trophy Infantry Team Match.

"[The Constitution preserves] the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation...(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." --James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46

"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms."
-- Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1787. ME 6:373, Papers 12:356

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms ... The right of citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard, against the tyranny which now appears remote in America but which historically has proven to be always possible."
-- Hubert H. Humphrey, Senator, Vice President, 22 October 1959

The importance of gun ownership is to secure the people from the knee-jerk efforts of those that would rather rule than serve.  It is the greatest assurance that a citizen may stand, in force, against a tyrannical, entrenched government.  If the Number Two Republican in the US Senate has forgotten his way then, I believe it is time to send a reminder to him, Texas.  In four years, Lone Star State, you may wish to send to Washington, DC a citizen-servant that understands the weight of his or her role in protecting our natural rights rather than attempting to appease these rights away to the Left.

Which leads us to the double-mindedness of those that are supposed to advocate hardest to guarantee and protect our Second Amendment.  There is one amongst us that appears more than willing to surrender our rights depending on the latest public opinion poll--the NRA.  There is one that remains strong and faithful to the foundations of our Constitution--Gun Owners of America (GOA).   On Thursday, when government rulers deigned that it was the bump stock that killed 58 people and injured over 500 and not Paddock, the NRA surrendered to the outcry for more regulations.  They released the following announcement via press release:

Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.  The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.

On Sunday, the NRA received the Political Holy Ghost and backtracked on their earlier beliefs.  Chris Cox, NRA Institute for Legislative Action Executive Director, told Fox News Sunday that "it [NRA] would oppose an outright ban on bump-stock devices".

What a difference three days makes.

GOA never bent.  They made certain on Thursday that America knew which organization would stand for the Constitution, even when it's not politically correct.  Eric Pratt, GAO Executive Director made it crystal clear:

“Gun Owners of America opposes a ban on bump stocks. Bump stocks were approved by the ATF during the Obama administration to help gun owners with disabilities fire their weapons.  Any type of ban will be ignored by criminals and only serve to disarm honest citizens.  Perhaps that’s why 91 percent of police believe a so-called “assault weapons” ban will have no effect or a negative effect on crime.  And given that 95 percent of cops think that a ban on large capacity magazines would be ineffective in reducing violent crime, it’s hard to imagine they would regard bump stocks any differently."

Makes you think, which of these institutions will really back the Constitution in the midst of political correctness onslaught: NRA or GOA?  Wannabes want you to believe that if the "Alt-Right Conservatives" would just give on bump stocks then, the Left would be willing to give on something else.  Yes, they have adopted the President Franklin Delano Roosevelt "New Deal" philosophy: exchange your liberties for government security.  Otherwise, the optics would look really bad.  Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas makes it abundantly clear that we must not surrender to the tyrannical state:

For those of us who work in marbled halls, guarded constantly by a vigilant and dedicated police force, the guarantees of the Second Amendment might seem antiquated and superfluous… But the Framers made a clear choice: They reserved to all Americans the right to bear arms for self-defense. I do not think we should stand by idly while a State denies its citizens that right, particularly when their very lives may depend on it…

Thank God that there are those that are willing to stand for freedom and liberty even when the Barber Shop Crowd would ridicule the rational.

There is a constant drumbeat in America.  The Left has misdirected our focuses to a bump stock when gun violence is not the greatest threat to American lives.   The Left has initiated a full-on attack of America since 1972.  Abortion has left many Americans dull of senses yet, wannabes want us to believe that optics towards conservatives will change if we would not identify and publish this truth to the world.  We are not in a place to submit to give and take with the Left.  In Urban America, despite strict gun control, the Leftists allow the pursuit of violence.  The Left condemn conservatives for being unfeeling and uncaring to the point that they are willing to lose their jobs to maintain that narrative.  Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness matters not.  The Revolution matters only.  The Resistance is merely stepping it up with Jihadi alliances and radical insurrectionists.  The Left has but one objective: overthrow freedom and liberty.  The drums continue to play and will not cease until the objective is met.

Repeal the State and Local Tax Deduction: Ending the Leftists' States' Manipulation of the US Treasury

One of the best lessons that I ever learned about lobbying and federal subsidy came by way of my wife and daughters.  Although I saw myself as a hard-core disciplinarian parent committed to the principles of frugality, my daughters, and my wife, were far more wise to my weaknesses as a father.  Yes, I loved and spoiled my daughters.  They were so cute, so sweet, and so smart.  They would look at me with their adoring eyes as I threatened to pound flesh and they would walk away with only a verbal warning.  They were my babies and they knew how to stroke Daddy's ego well.

"O, father, you are so wise.  Please tell us again your opinions on the Sixteenth Amendment."

My daughters would normally ask me such questions at about bedtime, in my home office where the cable television link broadcast.  Swollen with great pride that they had chosen me as their historical link to American politics and economics, I was more than willing to bend the strict regard for their bedtimes and enter into a brilliantly lain outline of study on US Income Taxes.  I was more than honored that they sought my expertise, on a school night, and did not want to disappoint them in the delivery of my knowledge.

Where shall I begin?  O, yes, they must know of Frederic Bastiat.  Indeed, indeed, they must.  For it is he who said, “Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone.”  One of the great tragedies of taxation is that everyone wants access to everyone else's wealth, intellectual property, and assets so that their pursuit of wealth creation may be aptly funded.  Bully, bully, they are excited by such discourse.  They are so darling!

O, yes, I will pass you the remote control as you listen so adamantly and nod your heads with such great comprehension.

I will speak of the Great Progressive Republican folly of President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt and the "Insurgent" Republicans in securing the federal income tax via Constitutional Amendment.  The sexiness of having a larger government with a bigger military was too attractive to the Establishment Republicans of the day and their socialist friend, Victor Louis Berger, in Congress, that they could not resist.  Teddy said, "Therefore, I believe in a graduated income tax on big fortunes, and in another tax which is far more easily collected and far more effective, a graduated inheritance tax on big fortunes, properly safeguarded against evasion, and increasing rapidly in amount with the size of the estate.”

Yes, o, yes, ladies, you may turn from the football game to SpongeBob.  I can sense that you are very comfortable learning as much as you can about tax history.

By the way, it was the threat of central governance that many conservatives feared would come to pass if the income tax passed Congress and became a Constitutional Amendment.

Yes, ladies, you may have some of my popcorn and root beer but, not too much because it is late in the evening.

Our Founding Fathers never wanted the Nation to have governance and economic power centralized in Washington, DC.  Created in the revolution of the taxation tyranny executed from London by the Monarchy, American Capitalists wanted a Nation that respected the natural rights of men, women, and children to produce profits without the inane pursuit of government to intervene or inhibit business growth.

O, yes, baby girl, go downstairs and bring back blankets and pillows for you and your sister.

However, from the time of the Mayflower Compact in Massachusetts, there have been those that wanted to socialize the arts and sciences of wealth creation, creating strong arm interventionists strategies.  William Bradford, in his journal, revealed the futility of socialism firsthand:

“The experience that we had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years...that by taking away property, and bringing community into a common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing – as if they were wiser than God.”

"For this community (so far as it was) was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort. For young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men's wives and children without [being paid] that was thought injustice.”

“This [free enterprise] had very good success, for it made all hands industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been.”

Today, we call the artisans of the Mayflower Compact socialists.  No matter what you say or evidence produced, they reject any notion that the redistribution of wealth and control of production and prices by the government will fail.

Others have longed for a fiercely strong federal government regulating the authority of individual states, the engines of capitalism,  and fashioning society slowly into a socialist state.  These are known today as progressives and they convince the "working or middle" class to become jealous of the rich or those that inherit wealth.  The intent is to institute a government that makes the life of the poor less arduous, allowing monies to be directed by tax from the wealthy to improve their lives.

Daddy, are progressives Democrats that you don't like or Republicans that you do like?

O, little lady, that is such a great question!  I am so glad that you are listening to your Daddy.  Sure, I'll turn the volume up but, just a little.  I don't want your Mommy to know that y'all are up after your bedtime on a school night.  Babies, progressives are both Democrats and Republicans.  They are now known as the Establishment.  Their objective is to grow the government and restrict the individual.  They prefer to be the smooth operators of socialism.  They subscribe to the power of the pen and the calculator.  They use the pen to write legislation and their bureaucrats write regulations that go directly to the wallets of the capitalists, their sworn enemy.  The Progressive Establishment believe that they can tax and spend our way into human equality.  They, like the British loyalists during the Revolutionary War and the Federalists thereafter, believe that a strong central government and a central bank will assure the equality of mankind.  Socialists believe in the New Deal.  Progressives believe in the Square Deal.  Between the two, Americans end up getting a Raw Deal.

Daddy Ken, when did the Patriots give up the reigns of free capitalism to the Socialists and Progressives?

Unfortunately, the day Black lives really mattered--the War between the States.  Our Constitution naturally recognized the natural rights to liberty and freedom for every man.  However, there were many--White, Black, and Native American--that perverted our economy with slave labor and our politics with tyranny.  Yes, children, Blacks, and Native Americans owned slaves too!  These perversions of economics and politics were an offense to those that respected our Preamble's intent, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union..."  In the Civil War, the Democrats fought to maintain slavery in their states and those destined to become states.  The Republicans sought the greatest economic and political embargo by abolishing slavery in all of the states.  During this time, President Abraham Lincoln sought a process that would cover the debts of the Civil War and fully fund the military.  He was quite successful in achieving each through the levy of income taxes.  The first time in American federalism that such an activity took place.  Lincoln got Congress to pass the Revenue Act of 1861 thus, creating the Bureau of Internal Revenue and collecting taxes both domestic and foreign.  The income and property taxes were deemed essential as a result of the Civil War.  The Lincoln Administration and Congress passed it as a "National Emergency".  During its 10 year existence, the Act allowed Congress to collect over $340 million.  The Civil War Debts were completely paid off.

Knowing this, Americans began to question why any Congress or Administration would maintain the tax.  Due to its unpopularity, Congress finally repealed income taxes in 1872, although the Revenue Act of 1862 required the termination of income and property taxes by 1866.  Why the additional years?  Political leaders liked the new found power and influence that they had over the American economy.  They could promise to spend based on ideal pictures of tax revenue growth thus, creating budget deficits and national debt.  The greater the wealth confiscated, the more powerful legislatures would become in picking winners and losers in the economy.  The greatest champions of the federal power to tax income were the Progressive Republicans, Democrats, and Socialists.  In 1867, the Socialists demanded a graduated income tax.  In 1892, the Populist Party, which would later merge with the Democrat Party, demanded a graduated income tax through its Party Platform.  In 1894, Democrat William Jennings Bryan, three-time losing Presidential candidate, advocated for the passage of the income tax.  On May 21, 1895, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a direct tax on personal income was unconstitutional as a result of the case of Pollock v. Farmers‘ Loan and Trust Company. The lawsuit had been precipitated by the 1894 Income Tax Act.  The Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision stated that a “direct tax” on the “income of real and of personal property” was “unconstitutional and void.”  This only strengthened the resolve of the progressives and socialists to make income taxes law constitutional and replace Supreme Court originalists with modern pragmatists

Where were the Republicans, little ones?  In 1902, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Sereno Payne (R-N.Y.) led a conservative charge to repeal the Spanish-American War tax and several others.  This did not sit well with Socialists, Establishment Democrats, and Progressive Republicans.  They were completely upset that "capitalists and corporatists" were not paying their "fair share".  In a speech on April 14, 1906, President "Teddy" Roosevelt endorsed a progressive estate tax:

"Of course no amount of charity in spending such fortunes in any way compensates for misconduct in making them. As a matter of personal conviction, and without pretending to discuss the details or formulate the system, I feel that we shall ultimately have to consider the adoption of some such scheme as that of a progressive tax on all fortunes, beyond a certain amount either given in life or devised or bequeathed upon death to any individual — a tax so framed as to put it out of the power of the owner of one of these enormous fortunes to hand on more than a certain amount to any one individual; the tax, of course, to be imposed by the National and not the State Government."

The Progressives, the Socialists, and the Democrats were in lockstep.  Successful Americans would be targeted with the tax pen.

O, Daddy, you are so wonderful to explain all of this to us.  I like the way you also take command in raising the volume on the television so that you project your voice without disturbing the sound.  Please tell us why the conservatives did not stop the War on the states by the federal government.

Daughters, you are so perceptive.  I know your mother sleeps but, I will raise the volume slightly and project my voice more.  Whether Lincoln or the Roosevelts, the Progressives, the Socialists, and the Democrats understood that centralizing economic planning in Washington, DC offered federal legislatures greater power and influence than any individual state legislator could possibly muster.  There was an additional secret weapon that they could call upon.  In the 1862 Revenue Act, Congress gave provision for the deduction of state and local taxes.  Their rationale?  A fear that high levels of federal taxation might “absorb all [the states’] taxable resources.”  Such a rationale reveals the motives of the income tax advocates.  They were going to coerce, by excessive tax laws, the American citizen to accept greater government intervention into their everyday lives.  It would no longer be "We The People" but, become "We The Government".

The Income Tax Power Lobbyists realized that the deduction of state and local taxes allowed high tax, high-income states to gain the greatest protections for their ideological pursuits.  The states with the highest taxes are [1] New York, $9,718; [2] California, $9,509; [3] Nebraska, $9,450; [4] Connecticut, $9,099; and [5] Illinois, $9,006.  The majority of these are Leftists states that subscribe to many Anti-American legislated policies.  The Left realized that they could pass their public policy experiment costs unto the rest of America through high taxes.  Wealthy taxpayers love it because it lowers their overall tax due.  States love it because it makes it easier for legislators to express support for costly bills.  Advocates love it because the public policy costs are passed on to others and not incurred in full by the citizens that enforce their recommendations.  In many of these states, conservatives have very little influence and certainly very few choices.

If the Congress would eliminate the deduction of state and local taxes then, taxpayers would be forced to hold their legislatures to higher fiscal standards.  Progressives and socialists might reconsider their ways.  They just might surrender their ideological pursuits for the financial good of the common man.  Voters may accept a more conservative fiscal policy for their states and cities.  Wow, actually, this might make it easier to vote conservatives into a political office where states and cities are most liberal.  The Conservative Movement may prevail in California, in New York, and in Illinois.  Unions, environmental groups, and progressive and socialist defenders may lose their lobbying power in Washington, DC.  K Street may finally bow to the power of Main Street...

All heads turn and there is utter silence.

A lovely woman with a frown stands at the door of my home office.  She gives me and the girls "The Look".  Men, if you have never seen "The Look" let me forewarn you, do not ask for it or desire seeing it.  "The Look" is at once debilitating and dehumanizing.  "The Look" can crush cans without human effort.  It makes young men weep and old men tremble.  All sounds ceased.  I do not know how the television screen faded to black but, it seemed to know the presence of my wife and, I suppose, it did not want to subject itself to viewing "The Look".  The girls escaped between "The Look" and the doorway as if they had been kidnapped and were happy to see the SWAT team arrive.

My wife revealed to me, as she sternly disinvited them from my office for the last time, that their only interest was watching television.  I was appalled!  How dare she libel my daughters and proclaim such accusations against their passionate curiosities?!  Unfortunately, I heard them at the bottom of the stairwell giggling and giving each other high fives.  My wife looked at me with such great pity.  How pathetic it is that a grown man could be so smitten by his daughters' cunning that he is easily manipulated into giving them privilege rather than justice.

It was years before I understood that my daughters were not interested in the Constitution, Economics, or American politics.  Let's hope it's not years before Congressional conservatives realize that breaking the Left's political hold on High-Tax, High Income Tax states and economic hold on the U. S. Treasury is as simple as eliminating the state and local taxes deduction.  Manipulation is a wonderful thing for the manipulator.  Wisdom is the key to freedom for the oppressed.  I pray that Congress is wise enough to use the key to free Americans from the oppression of the Left.  However, to believe so would be a maddening deception.  I no longer wish to be manipulated, except by my daughters.

Spelman: From the Genesis of Moral Liberation to the Revelation of Immoral Indoctrination

There is none other.

Howard University is affectionately referred to by many as the "Ivy League Institution of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's)".  However, it is not ranked Number One (1) amongst HBCU's as one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report.  That title is jealously possessed by the women of Spelman College.  Claflin University, the first HBCU to surpass the benchmark of 50 percent alumni giftings, is recognized for graduating the most faithful contributors.  In fact, 52% of Claflin alumni provide the institution financial support.  However, very few HBCU's can compete with the financial contribution machine that is Spelman.  Between 1986 and 1996, the college raised $113.8 million, including a $20 million gift from Bill Cosby and his wife, Camille Hanks Cosby, whose daughter graduated from the illustrious educational mecca.  Such liberality of giving by others alleviates graduates of the responsibility of giving back to the institution.  In their frugality, Spelman alumnae, 32% in fact, contributed more than $2 million to the College during the fiscal year 2017.  Difficult to comprehend why so little when 97% of the students receive financial aid, however, it apparently is par for the course in overall college giving.

Literally, Spelman is the King--eh, Queen--of HBCU's.  As much bluster is uttered among the collegiate society and HBCU graduates, the truth reigns: "As Spelman Leads, All Others Follow".  Yes, Morehouse Men, I know that you are offended, feeling dissed that the women are judged your leaders.  However, when your 4-year graduation rate rises from a paltry 39% to an elite 69%, as Spelman's, then, you will take your place.  It is no longer enough to tell people that Dr. Martin Luther ("Luffa") King, Jr. graduated from your fine institution.  When 61% of your admission can not follow in his foot steps, there is a real problem.

I digress.

Spelman has no overall rival.  This is why their unfortunate Board Room acceptance of the Black Lives Matter / Radical LGBTQ Agenda should be of significant concern to those considering college or university admissions for their high school student in 2018 and beyond.  Spelman College, this month, announced that it will begin admitting transgender students to the renowned black women's college.  President Mary S. Campbell, in writing to the "sisterhood", advised:

"As a result of this extensive study, I, as president, along with the Spelman leadership team, and the Board, concur on the following admissions and enrollment policy: Spelman College, a Historically Black College whose mission is to serve high-achieving Black women, will consider for admission women students including students who consistently live and self-identify as women, regardless of their gender assignment at birth. Spelman does not admit male students, including students who self-identify and live consistently as men, regardless of gender assignment at birth. If a woman is admitted and transitions to male while a student at Spelman, the College will permit that student to continue to matriculate at and graduate from Spelman."

In the Leftist's ever evolving definition of gender, I am more confused as ever.  Maybe I should not be since I spoke with my Redeemer this morning and he advised me that no "hormone" shot can alter my Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).  He created male and female and that process has not stopped since the Garden act of humanity.  Yet, a much wiser task force than the Trinity hails the environmental and intentional alterations beyond the primary scope of DNA as grounds to change admissions policy.  The “something more than genetics” science crew got together with the college's legal aid society to craft a formula for admission that bends the straight ways of reason and curves the well-worn protections of the Republic.  Literally, we now have to look under the hood to matriculate through America's Number 1 HBCU.

I suppose all of this makes sense, especially in a time when people of color blame a Confederate statue for their child's, who wears $300 Nike tennis shoes and possesses a 32-inch television with Nintendo Switch Gaming Console in his or her room, inability to perform well academically.  Damn that General Robert E. Lee statue in the park that I have never taken my children to see or driven pass!  It is that dang statue that keeps our people down!

The politically correct reference this foolishness as "political correctness".  The idea that as the society--radical, militant Leftists--evolves then, we must change all customs, traditions, and principles to keep up with modernity.  No longer are men "men" or women "women" but, they are an ever changing flow of atoms in the particle beans of life.  Surely, as Stevie Wonder can blindly see global warming, mankind must accept that private, all women colleges must adapt, bend a knee, and accept men that graduated from the RuPaul Academy.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we should have seen this coming in 1959 when Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemon, and Tony Curtis got together to do "Some Like It Hot".  Apparently, if I am completely understanding Campbell, Jack and Tony could be admitted to Spelman.  Marilyn could enter stage right as a woman and leave stage left as a man.  That meets the new Spelman matriculation guidelines.  If Marilyn dressed as the Marlboro man, she would not be considered for admission to the Freshman class.  Spelman’s new policy excludes the daughters of singers R. "Golden Showers" Kelly and Sade—Jay Kelly and Ila Adu—both of whom are women that live as men.  I'm quite certain that the alumni contribution team is slightly upset about that decision.  Returning to the example, Marilyn Monroe could enter as Marilyn Monroe and graduate as Marilyn Manson.  The world will be alright and ESPN may extend the Arthur Ashe Award at the convocation.

The real question here is, "As a parent, are you okay with this adoption of the Black Lives Matter / Radical LGBTQ Socio-Political Agenda?"  In the post-"Jim Crow" age, a parent must fully consider the overall value of an education at the institution selected by their high school senior.  If you are investing $45,000 annually, without financial aid considerations, then, is this the environment, since the epigeneticists believe it impacts your DNA, that you want your 100% daughter or slightly confused son to receive their education?  Campbell admits that Spelman, the HBCU leader, is following other colleges around the Nation, "taken stock of the competitive environment for institutions of higher education".  This Administration unpinned itself from its moral foundations to remain competitive in a dying world.  Why?  They fear that you will allow your child to go somewhere else and your dollars will go with them.  Additionally, this isn't the group of Rockefeller Christian Republicans that founded this institution.  Don't look so shocked.  Yes, John Davison Rockefeller Sr., whose wealth was once equal to 2% of the Nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), funded the origins of this institution.  In fact, the college was named for Rockefeller's wife, Laura Spelman Rockefeller.

Rockefeller was a Christian.  Hillsdale College's History Chairman, Burton Folsom Jr., said this of Rockefeller, "...he sometimes gave tens of thousands of dollars to Christian groups, while, at the same time, he was trying to borrow over a million dollar to expand his business. His philosophy of giving was founded upon biblical principles. He truly believed in the biblical principle found in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.".  He was a Radical Republican Abolitionist.  Traveling through the South, he paid for the emancipation of a slave.  He was a conservative.  A stalwart of the Efficiency Movement, Rockefeller emphasized the use of scientific research and economic principles of efficiency, and utility maximization to ensure that government and industry worked to their full potential.  He was a subscriber to the motifs of personal responsibility and individual sovereignty.  He did not want not-for-profit institutions to become dependent on his giving so, he established conditional grants.  He advised that colleges and universities should "root the institution in the affections of as many people as possible who, as contributors, become personally concerned, and thereafter, may be counted on to give to the institution their watchful interest and cooperation".  Yes, the alumni were supposed to stand and deliver after receiving an initial investment.  Yes, kiddies, nobody owes you anything!  He was certainly most notable as a capitalist.  America's first billionaire believed strongly that his purpose in life was to make as much money as humanly possible and then, use it wisely to improve the conditions of mankind.

The Rockefellers' donated money and supported the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary, whose mission was in line with "their faith based beliefs".  In 1884, the college was renamed Spelman Seminary and later, Spelman College.  However, I question if the Rockefellers, if in the same place today, would even consider visiting the campus.  I doubt that they would be invited to speak or visit.  Would they have opened their purse to an institution that used such resources of staff, research, and capital to come to the conclusions of Campbell and her task force?  I believe that they would not have done so.  Although imperfect, their Faith mattered more than anything else.

In the Urban community, the common level of recruitment involves the phrase, "Don't choose one of those 'other' schools!  Go to an HBCU.  They care about you."   If the College's Administration is willing to sell out on its foundational mission then, will your child receive the utmost care?  The Radical LGBTQ lobby, for the sake of rewriting the Republic's values, presses people to accept the phrase "gender identity disorder (GID)".  Anxiety, fear, and discomfort are not overcome by hormone shots and a new suit from the Men's Warehouse.  If that were then, those that have fully converted genders would not suffer as reported.   For those that have had a sex change, fifty-one percent (51%) attempt suicide, have deep regret, or will not adjust.

"Studies in America and Holland report one in 20 post-operative transsexuals changes his or her mind after surgery, and one in ten never adjusts and often becomes deeply depressed. The Transgender Task Force reports 41% attempt suicide."

Nor should a college or university submit to the secular pursuit of society orchestrated by Black Lives Matter.  In the creation of Black Villages, BLM states, "We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, and especially “our” children to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable."  In addition, BLM refers to Transgender Affirmation as,"We are committed to embracing and making space for trans brothers and sisters to participate and lead.  We are committed to being self-reflexive and doing the work required to dismantle cis-gender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence."  The centering by a college to make women antagonistic towards men does not solve problems but creates them.

The real losers are the generations that follow as they have to deal with the Miseducation of the Negro.  In the end, as parents and high school seniors consider college and university choices, they must ask themselves, "What Price Am I Willing to Pay to Sacrifice My Faith and Values?"  If it is attending a school where political correctness is more important than the pursuit of truth then, there is an All Women's College in Atlanta, GA that awaits your son's or daughter's application.

Progressive Urban Economics Has Driven Community Activists to Demand A Cashless Society

"I hope this business comes to the area. and you better tell us later what type of business this is? I swear some people would even mess up a wet dream."
~~Yvonne Z. Smith

Messing it all up.  Dramatic prose that is written for less than prosperous times.  However, it is the essence of desperation that sums up nearly a half-century pursuit of the urban progressive economics promises of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels that were sincerely exalted by community advocates and political activists.  The more government owned the economic development processes then, the more likely the poor will benefit and the "working class" will thrive.  This is what we were told.  Yet, the bureaucratic elite, having imposed their theories upon the hungry masses of Washington, DC, left many East of the River citizens exasperated with the overall economic deficiencies.  While cranes silhouette the western suburbs of Anacostia and Congress Heights, Wards Seven and Eight community advocates and political activists are left to wonder what could be.  The wonderment is so great that some are even considering a "cashless society" to draw businesses--any businesses--to the area that Frederick Douglass once called home.

The Leftists have done well to doom East of the River to the bottom of the prosperity bucket.  Rather than the DC Health Regulation and Licensing Administration loosening regulations and eliminating local hospital approval requirements to site urgent care and birthing centers throughout neighborhoods where impoverished populations need them most, the DC government limits such healthcare developments and, now, wants to build a non-essential hospital on the grounds of St. Elizabeth's.  Rather than deeming East of the River an Empowerment Zone, eliminating taxes on small businesses and implementing free market strategies to boost economic development, the Mayor and City Council feverishly labor to install the Vladimir Lenin enterprise development plan.  The corporate income tax rate is 9.2 percent.  The DC Sales Tax is 5.75% overall and hotel stays will cost you an additional 14%.  Can you imagine if there was no corporate or sales tax East of the River?  Imagine if regulations were cut East of the River?  Health Care would improve.  Small businesses would be incubated into major regional business entities.  Jobs would be created.  Home values would increase spurring construction and renovations.  Would the Leftists really want this kind of growth?  I doubt it.

The is what the average poli-bureaucrat expects of East of the River.  The Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development (DMPED) Economic Intelligence Dashboard (EID) reports that the District has produced over 785,000 jobs, possesses an unemployment rate of 5.7%, and produces a gross domestic product (GDP) of $128 billion.  In Ward 1, one of the city's wealthiest areas, EID reports an unemployment rate of 4.1% with 288 affordable units delivered.  In Ward 2, the unemployment rate is 3.9% and 169 affordable housing units have been delivered.  Ward 7 has an unemployment rate of 9% with 396 affordable housing units delivered.  Ward 8 has an unemployment rate of 11.6% with 583 affordable housing units delivered.  While DC Tax Revenue has grown from $3 Billion in 2000 to nearly $7 Billion in 2015, the prosperity opportunities for East of the River have not improved.  For nearly two decades, East of the River community advocates and political activists have been demanding a commitment from elected socialists.  The response from the City: "We have plans to help."  Desperation spills over and out.  How can the East of the River Leftists, that must force their Ward 7 Councilmember to inspect the neighborhood's major grocers to secure fresh meat, convince people for another decade that the doctrines of Engels and Marx will work?  Please, just give us another decade!  Yes, Wards Seven and Eight are seen as the last chick at the bar hoping to get a ride home from the guy that fell asleep on his stool two hours ago or the blind guy with the dog who said to her earlier that he would prefer to jump rope than take her home.

After years of East of the River economic failure by DC socialists, many business patrons can sense that there is blood in the water.   Some advocates and activists are sincerely desperate.  Many are demanding economic development at the expense of those that they civilly advocate.  For the sake of a revitalization project victory, they are willing to take a "see no evil, hear no evil, talk no evil" approach.  All of the co-op farms, not for profit funding schemes, and housing for the poor and elderly projects have not netted a grocery store or, even, a modern manufacturing park.  I mean it is really easy to convince the religious left to sell their churches to the government and rebuild them as elder residences.  Fat cat preachers make out like bandits selling their church properties in  District government real estate deals, buying huge homes on multiple acres in Mitchellville, MD or Waldorf, MD with the proceeds, and then, carpooling into the city twice a week to deliver liberation theology messages to the poor and hungry.  Maybe it was the "Jesus for Sale" sign on the front lawn that gave it away.

How do you know that the City is desperate to profit from East of the River, Mr. Probably Married to a White Woman, Living on an Expensive Estate, and Sending Your Children to a Private Academy Urban Conservative?

"D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) detailed her plans for a Wizards practice complex and 5,000-seat events venue at the former St. Elizabeths hospital Tuesday, asking taxpayers to foot about 90 percent of the construction costs but pledging to create hundreds of jobs, attract $90 million in new tax revenue and draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to a section of the District starved for economic activity."

Jeffrey Preston Bezos is the owner of the Washington Post.  He also happens to be the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Amazon.com, the world's largest online shopping retailer.  Amazon is looking to build a second headquarters in North America.  The online retailer plans to spend $5 billion in construction and to include as many as 50,000 high-paying jobs.  Amazon estimates its investments in Seattle from 2010 through 2016 resulted in an additional $38 billion to the city’s economy – every dollar invested by Amazon in Seattle generated an additional $1.40 for the city’s economy overall.  Yes, the Wizards are magically getting 90% of their construction costs paid for by people that will rarely see a WNBA game and Amazon is paying for its construction costs.  Imagine what St. Elizabeth's would look like with the Amazon HQ sited there.

The desperation is duly noted.

This "Make Government First Again" strategy has not proven successful in the Real Economies of East of the River.  Our Mayor and City Council members run on platforms of "hope and change".  They assure that things will be different, although, you voted for a different person from the same progressive political party.  Everyone will be employed because the District government will make certain that everyone is.  Heck, the commitment is so intense that the District will raise the age limit of youth from 18 to 24 for summer jobs to lower unemployment stats.  Doing so certifies that government paychecks roll out for six weeks, overall employment stats improve, and assured votes for politicians in exchange for their compassion.

What do the "youth" get?  Real skills and a transition to higher paying employment opportunities?  No.  They have the opportunity to listen to more promises.  More money will flow into the Wards and the poor will not be displaced.  More scaffolding will drape the skies.  More capital will be invested.  Businesses will come.  Stores will open.  Fewer people will be poor.  In fact, poor people can remain comfortable in their poverty because more affordable housing will be built.  The best part is that it won't cost East of the River anything.  All of this will be paid for by persons living West of the River where scaffolding drapes the skies, more luxury housing is built for persons that can afford it, and inexhaustible amounts of capital is pouring in for businesses and stores.  The wealthy people across the bridge through government confiscation--taxes--will cover the anemic results of the expensive promises.  Betcha feel kinda cheap that you give up a vote for a kid's summer job while others give up a vote for a tax break on their luxury condo development deal.

Well, guess what, the nail in the coffin has been hammered.  Community advocates and political activists are now recruiting a "not for profit business committed to healthy food" to the Wards.  Yes, this is like a torrential rain in the middle of the Sahara desert.  Get the Ballou Marching Band together, since it could not march in the Inauguration.  After a major siting of Little Caesars Pizza in SE DC, which required a Mayoral visit, certainly, a parade is in right order.  After a significant drought, a new business is coming.  Hold your horses, however.  This new business seeks to serve only persons with credit, debit, and EBT cards.  Really?!  Grappling for a pyrhic economic victory, the Anti-Capitalists wish the poor and disenfranchised to embrace a "cashless society".  You know, do it for the kids.

The desperation is duly noted.

If you would like to re-create the Venezuelan economy, encourage the East of the River community to embrace the gift of totalitarianism--a "cashless society".  According to Bhaskar Chakravorti and Benjamin Mazzotta's The Cost of Cash in the United States, "A cashless society describes an economic state whereby financial transactions are not conducted with money in the form of physical bank notes or coins, but rather through the transfer of digital information (usually an electronic representation of money) between the transacting parties."  Many with the latest Apple phone and great credit scoring find this quite an attraction.  They are already acquainted with spending their monies in West of the River establishments that cater to the upwardly mobile.  However, for those that won't have their mani or pedi done at a K Street establishment, they may be limited to monetary options.  With Equifax admitting recently to a cyber attack that put at risk the credit information of over 143 million Americans, I really do not believe this is the most agreeable time to influence the poor and needy to subject themselves to a "cashless society".

I believe that there are at least three reasons more: liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness.  In an area where many grandparents are taking responsibility for raising their children's children due to illicit and prescription drug addictions, they need the liberty to purchase what they need without the constraints or limitations of a society or corporation regarding the use of legal tender.  For the individual recovering from dismal financial planning, credit cards are not the best choice for transactions.  The ability to use money helps individuals better manage their monetary expenses and balance their budgets.  For the woman experiencing domestic violence, sometimes the only access to funds is with cash.  Hence, the society would become the punisher of the woman that seeks to be free because she only has one legal way to pay for products or services.  In fact, we all need to be free from restriction or control of the use of legal tender.

Secondly, we have fought in this country, as cultural abolitionists, for the freedom of every man, woman, and child, especially those in their mother's womb.  Our commitment to liberty means that we must fight against those that would misuse the Constitution to enslave, to detain illegally, or oppress.  I have no problem with a store demanding a digital payment option.  However, we must remember that digital information gives access to two entities that can become major culprits: hostile bandits and the government.  Cyber attackers have no appreciation for the desperation that you face in recruiting businesses to site in your neighborhood.  They are borderless adversaries and if the corporation, for example, Target, is not vigilant then, you are left to the piracy of malicious persons.  All you wanted was a Mocoa Lattee and the next thing that you know, Abdullah in Nigeria is using your identity to purchase a new car and new clothes.  Americans have a material right to protect their well-being by using the legal tender.  Finally, digital information may be kept by governments.  I know that the District of Columbia is never subject to corrupt intents by employees or contractors.  They are certainly the best and most innocent public servants in all of the world.  However, that assurance is not offered by other governments, domestic or foreign.  As an American, you have the natural right to purchase property, goods, and services without unnecessary government intervention.  A tap of the button can change your world.  I do not want a public servant to possess the power to do so, even if there are potential legal and judicial ramifications.

Lastly, we need to make certain that our pursuit of happiness is protected.  Have you ever stood behind a billionaire at the local grocery store?  You do not know that and neither do I.  Cash empowers you to purchase what you want when you want, and wherever you are able.  If that billionaire's wife has maxed out all of his credit cards, and you are both standing in line with a $100 bill then, you have the same amount of purchasing power.  As well, I do not need to know that your family is getting SNAP because you had to pull your EBT Card out at the local cafe.  Having cash or legal tender means that the business owner has the right to give me the property that I am willing to buy without any form of discrimination.  If Jacqueline is with her friends and wants to buy a sandwich at the convenience store before heading to the beach then, why must she experience "economic" bullying because you have an American Express Card and she has cash?  The sandwich in your mouth has equal value to the sandwich in hers.  You are both made happy because you can possess it without any form of status envy or discrimination.  It should and, I pray, always remain that way.

Often people that have experienced the plight of progressive economics become so desperate for salvation that they choose a process with much promise but a greater threat. I have no problem with a store choosing to discriminate based on your access to their apps or cards. However, remember that you are demanding discrimination based on a potential profit for your "community". It is not the white man making this choice but, the black man within his community. Your desperation for economic activity is not lost upon those that wish to take advantage of it. Pursue free market economics and collectively invest in small businesses that seek to compete against the Starbucks that you are willing to travel out of the Wards to enjoy. The greatest problem with Ward economics is customer service and capital access. Teach people to respect and revere others and begin to invest your little in the Wards and much will change.  Do not give others the right to make invalid what is legal for all.  Avoid the "cashless society" at all costs.

Red August: When One's Race Is Determined by Ideologues and Demagogues

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.  –  C.S. Lewis

There is but one mass of concrete, mortar, and bronze that seems out of the reach of the Extreme Leftists of Our Day.  Mind you, for the moment, it is out of reach but, certainly, not out of mind.  At Boston Common, between Tremont St and Avery St in Boston, Massachusetts, there arising from the Earth is a cylindrical monument to the revolutionary deeds of America's first martyrs of patriotism.  It honors the deaths of Crispus Attucks, James Caldwell, Patrick Carr, Samuel Gray and Samuel Maverick.  They that perished on Monday, March 5, 1770,  during the "Incident on King Street", would harness the revolutionary spirit of one-third of the American colonists.  Paul Revere and Samuel Adams led the "propaganda war" that would memorialize their deaths and lead to the overthrow of British rule.  Standing 25 feet high and 10 feet wide, it has weathered the mighty blasts of winter and the intensive heat of summers.  Those that gave their lives for the causes of liberty, freedom, natural rights, and sovereignty will be eternally observed by the Boston Massacre / Crispus Attucks monument.  Less the Extreme Leftists wrest this mighty symbol of individual sovereignty with a hammer, sickle, and chain.

The Nation has been seized by the Extreme Leftists' and Establishment Apologists' narratives regarding race, expunging history, and political correctness.  The term is not merely crafted as a metaphor but, used as a literal expression of how millions of Americans are held captive by those that report and commentate on the violent intentions of such vile groups as ANTIFA, the Ku Klux Klan, BlackLivesMatters, The Triangle People’s Assembly, Workers World Party, Industrial Workers of the World, Democratic Socialists of America and others.  Reporters and commentators, with tears that neither Frederick Douglass or Hariett Tubmen ever wasted,  provocateurs to their coming American revolution, tear into the President of the United States Donald J. Trump for being morally depraved and others questioning his mental stability.  Amazingly, since he only spoke words in observation, the Leftists organized every unit of their revolutionary army to attack the innocent and defend the guilty.  Like clockwork or deceitful strategy, the Establishment cowered accepting blame for over 400 years of Democrat oppression.  When time passed, the world discovered that Trump was right yet, the damage was done.  Millions of Americans were indicted as "racists" in the Court of Public Opinion.  History began to disappear before our very eyes.  The Radicals cried aloud for Impeachment and even their Legislative Statesmen demand his assassination. Their comics raised the severed head of Trump and, now, even his "friends" on Capitol Hill were questioning his resolution towards ending slavery in the United States.  Wait a minute, we have done that already?!  The Leftists brought the Hammer and Sickle and the Establishment the chains and ropes.

Envigorated, the Leftists' armies marched from Charlottesville, VA to Chicago, IL and then, onward to Pheonix, AZ.  Throughout their campaign, Leftists stole the spotlight as beleaguered and misunderstood "peace protestors", killed a woman, and destroyed public and private property throughout.  Liken General Nathan Bedford Forrest, the Left coalesce their independent corps and raid cities, drawing attentions away from more immediate matters, both foreign and domestic.  Their sympathizers in governance order their law enforcement to "stand down".  Whether to burn down Ferguson, MO, Baltimore, MD, or terrorize Dallas, TX, the Leftists are a "resistance" that is determined to overthrow the current Administration and, if given the proper winds of battle, the United States.

Even within states facing imminent natural disaster, the Left is willing to sacrifice the lives of hundreds of thousands for the sake of withstanding the wisdom of conservatives.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott told Houston residents, on August 25, 2017, that even in the absence of an official evacuation order that leaving was essential to sustaining life and health.

"Even if an evacuation order has not been issued by your local official, if you are in areas between Corpus Christi and Houston ... you need to strongly consider evacuating," Abbott said mid-day Friday in a basement bunker at the state emergency operations center in Austin.

The Left instantly bristled.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said on Friday evacuation was not necessary: “There are a number of people who are in Hurricane Harvey’s direct path, and evacuation orders have been given to them. But for the Houston area… this is a rainmaker for us. There’s no need for people to be thinking about putting themselves in greater danger.”

Harris County Judge Ed Emmett said: “stay where you are and ride out the storm… We don’t anticipate any kind of massive evacuation.”

How dare the white governor of Texas order us to leave our fair city of Houston.  Does he not know that we stole the rainbow from Noah and no harm shall come our way?  What could a stinking conservative know about Life?  We built the largest abortion clinic in America within our borders.  We know how to protect life.

Yes.  What will 50 inches of rain do to Houston?  "Just a rainmaker for us."  Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.  So you must know that federal help through the State Governor will help the many in need in Houston, Mr. Mayor.  No sense being prideful Mr. Mayor about this mistake.  I mean as a prophet, and you are a believer in prayer, you appeared on the "Isaiah Talk" Show on Fox 26 and told the people, "Peace, Peace, Peace".  The Show Host, the Vice-Mayor, and you sang from the same music sheet "No Worries, Be Happy".  I know that there are other major concerns for Blacks in Houston than flood waters from Hurricane Harvey.  Last week, more than 400 socialists, liberals, and Black Lives Matter activists showed up to demand the removal a controversial Confederate monument in Sam Houston Park.  They were concerned that you had to toil in the shadow of the Confederacy:

"It's deeper than statues," said Ashton Woods, Black Lives Matters organizer. "The statue is a symbolic gesture on both sides. It was erected to intimidate people who look like me...[Houston's black leaders, such as Sylvester Turner, are forced to work] in the shadow of a Confederate statue".

The Left's radicals will not mind you relenting your "blackness" for a moment and then, asking for some help.  I know he is white and you are black.  I know that he has looked very successful and you foolish.  Certainly, the lives of the good people of Houston are of greater value than your demagoguery.  Certainly, you may bend from your ideological tree branch, from whence your blackness grows, and say, "Mr. Governor, we need your help."  Maybe just a private call from your cell phone.  No one will have to know.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said at an Austin news conference Sunday that he hasn’t yet spoken with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner since Hurricane Harvey hit the city on Friday, the AP reported. The governor said he has tried calling Turner’s cell phone “several times” to “let him know that, whatever he needs, the state of Texas will provide,” but has not yet heard back.

Well, now we know.

Then, there is Berkeley.  Let us follow-on as the Washington Post romanticizes the Left's onslaught:

"Their faces hidden behind black bandannas and hoodies, about a 100 anarchists and antifa — “anti-fascist” — barreled into a protest Sunday afternoon in Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park.

Jumping over plastic and concrete barriers, the group melted into a larger crowd of around 2,000 that had marched peacefully throughout the sunny afternoon for a “Rally Against Hate” gathering.

Shortly after, violence began to flare: a pepper-spray wielding Trump supporter was smacked to the ground with homemade shields. Another was attacked by five black-clad antifas, each windmilling kicks and punches into a man desperately trying to protect himself. A conservative group leader retreated for safety behind a line of riot police as marchers chucked water bottles, shot off pepper spray, and screamed “fascist go home!”

All told, the Associated Press reported at least five individuals were attacked. Fourteen arrests were made throughout the afternoon, when anti-hate and left-wing protesters largely drowned out the smaller clutch of far-right marchers attending a planned “No to Marxism in America” rally in the park. An AP reporter witnessed the assaults."

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are mere Philistines placed in a Gladiator's ring before a fanciful mob.  No, the Left's propagandists regale that their warriors were at the Battle of Berkely and see how mighty they were.  They brought spears and shields to wield against the whimsical infidels.  The brave rebels destroyed the flanks of those that marched in peace, especially the "rubes" that are the Trump supporters and conservatives.  Look how cowardly they fell before our warriors.  They even left a woman alone to defend herself against our 100!  O, how mighty we are!  All Hail the Resistance!

Yes, the Leftists celebrate their victories on newspaper pages and the reporting of local, national, and cable media.  What you do not see is the citizen journalism of persons like Lauren Southern:

"The cops enabled this by standing down.  The media enabled this by propagandizing Trump supporters as "Nazis".  And pathetic, disgusting Republicans like Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Marco Rubio have enabled this by excusing Antifa's violence.  It is now open season on Trump supporters.  Be ready."

video

Succinct and true is this reporting.  While you will find it on TECN® TV, there are not many willing to warn the public for fear of being deemed, dare I say it aloud that it may scare the chickens in the coop, "RACISTS!"  No, darlings, this is not a war about race.  You are watching a Civil War unfold based on the lethal defense of ideologies and dogmatic protection of radicals by demagogs.  To the Leftists, for whom value only the lives that made it safely the womb and align with the principles of tyranny, your race is the ideology.  Domination is the only pursuit.  There is no room for discourse.  Negotiation is futile.  If you want to survive then, you will submit.

Why the significance of Crispus Attucks' monument?  The "mulatto" Crispus Attacks represents a sensational example of a man that would die for the cause of liberty and freedom for all despite his individual condition.  Attucks is renown as the first to die at the Boston Massacre.  He was also the first American to die in the revolution against Britain.  Born to Prince Yonger, an African-born slave, and Nanny Peterattucks, a Natick Native American, he was described as a "huge mulatto" by witnesses of the Massacre.  Many cultural victimologists would attempt to convince you that Attacks was forced there by those that professed "privilege" or that he happened to just be walking by at the moment.  One would think, certainly, that he did not choose this moment.  As a former slave, he must have been those that would fight to protect the natural rights of all Americans.  Attucks had been failed by "the system" and "the man" had taken his freedom.  How far from the truth yet, essential for maintaining the ignorance of a Nation and dominion of it by the false narrative.  The Crispus Attucks Museum reveals the truth:

"Captain Preston and his soldiers had to break through the crowd in order to get to the station and in doing so pushed several people with their rifles giving the impression that they intended to attack them. Most people in the crowd were peaceful but a group of 30 or 40 individuals led by a huge mulatto, Crispus Attucks, was striking at the soldiers with clubs and cutlass and throwing snow balls and chucks of ice.  As they came close to the soldiers’ bayonets the mob dared the soldiers to fire shouting: “Come on you rascals, you bloody scoundrels, you lobsterbacks, fire if you dare, we know you dare not”. Sensible bystanders, like bookshop owner Henry Knox, urged Preston not give the order to fire. Preston had no control over the crowd, they knew that soldiers could not fire until they were read the Riot Act. This act ordered the dispersal of any group of more than twelve people who were “unlawfully, riotously and tumultuously assembled together”. If the group failed to disperse within one hour,  anyone remaining was guilty of felony punishable by death without the benefit of the clergy.

The scene was tense and at this point one of the soldiers was hit with a club and a shot was fired. Six seconds elapsed followed by a round of shots. Eleven men were lying on the ground, four of them were dead, one died later of his wounds and six were wounded but survived. The crowd dispersed as soon as the shots were fired."

Yes, my friends.  Crispus Attucks led the rebellion on King Street that night.  During this period of slavery in America, a black man led the revolution against Britain.  He desired all men's natural rights to be protected from excessive government intervention.  Attucks was aware.  He had drunk with his fellow colonists.  Some escaped slaves.  Some indentured servants.  Some free.  Yet, all oppressed by Mother England and King George.  He was aware of the protestations of rabble rouser Samuel Adams.  He was living under the tyranny of the Intolerable Acts.  Attucks understood the risks of attacking the British military.  Attucks had had enough and so did 30 - 40 other men, all white.  They followed Attucks.  He was not a slave.  He was not black.  He was not an Indian.  On the night of the Boston Massacre, Attucks was an American.

Black Lives Matters organizer Woods put it best, "The statue is a symbolic gesture..."  It is never really about the objects.  They are the status symbols of terrorists.  Like on the weekend that you are promoted to the corner office, you visit the local Mercedes Benz dealership to trade in your Honda, it is a symbol of your success.  Terrorists want his or her name in lights and their tactics of fear to garner praise and criticism.  I. William Zartman and Guy Olivier Faure (Eds.)., Experts in the Art of Negotiating with Terrorists, explain, "The first hour of hostage taking is usually the most dangerous for hostages, as the terrorists are both nervous and aggressive. When the situation has become more stable, the risk of having to face unexpected events reduces on both sides. Then, the real negotiation can start."  The past years, for many Americans, represent the first hour.

Americans have been taken hostage by the cultural institutions that they have relied upon for generations.  The instability is unsettling.  You ask of the groups mentioned earlier--ANTIFA, the Ku Klux Klan, BlackLivesMatters, The Triangle People’s Assembly, Workers World Party, Industrial Workers of the World, and Democratic Socialists of America, they are Americans like me, right?  No!  They find you and your America a sincere threat.  They believe that the only way to end your cultural dominance is to destroy you and your America.  Your freedom scares their irrationality.  Your liberties should be controlled and limited but, not your government.  Your natural rights impede their civil rights.  The Left warned you.  They tried to be nice.  They sought your approval through the Courts and were rejected.  They tried electoral politics and then, your America rejected them.  They seek but one thing, dominion.  If you are in their way then, you will be destroyed.  This is their negotiations.

Yes, America, they soon come for Crispus Attucks.
